Whatever the life change you are going through a Rite of Passage can be right for you. Consciously go through a supported process of grieving and honoring what you’ll leave behind and stepping fully into the new you, witnessed by those who love you.

Perimenopause and menopause

These are intense states of transition, physically, psychologically, and emotionally. Yet, in our youth-centric society menopause is often treated as a medical condition or the butt of jokes about sweat, rather than a life-affirming, powerful doorway to a new stage of life.

Emptying of the Nest

While Empty Nest Syndrome is recognized as a particular kind of depression by mental health professionals, rarely is the Emptying of the Nest recognized and celebrated as a life-changing transition.

This is why rites of passage are so beneficial.

When transitions are un-marked it serves to disempower and silence those living through these life stages.

Through embracing and celebrating life’s transitions, we can open the door to the next stage of life with joy and a deeper connection to our communities, ourselves and the earth.

  • The Rites of Passage process begins with an in-person kickoff meeting, and concludes with an in-person rites celebration. In between, there are regular Zoom meetings, with the dates and times based on the schedules of the participants.

  • Each meeting has a different theme centered on life’s changes.

  • There is some independent work and journaling in addition to the group work.

  • Nature awareness is an important part of the process, with activities that activate reverence for the natural world.
